Gentle Standing & Chair Routines - Hatha and Restorative Yoga, including Pranayama (breath control) and Meditation, modified and adapted for practice using a Chair as a prop. A great practice for people suffering injury, or with limited flexibility. 

Beautiful calming, energising & rejuvenating practice. Everyone can practice Ageless Chair Flow Yoga!    

Level 1 is very gentle with most of the postures and movement seqences done seated in a chair, plus some gentle, safe standing routines, that incorporate movement with breath exercise. It is designed for people with limited ability to stand for long periods. *

Level 2 is also gentle, but more dynamic and more challending than Level 1. It combines both seated and standing postures and movement seqences, including breath exercises. It is designed for people who have the ability to stand and move more vigorously, and stay stretching for longer in bigger, more dynamic postures. * 

*The teacher will always advise each student which level is appropriate for them, and work with them to modify the postures and sequences to suit their individual needs. Everybody can experience this wonderful form of Yoga - using ancient therapeutic and healing Yoga for modern times… and adjusted to suit every individual!                                   

Sri Shanthi Bhavana specialises in Therapeutic Yoga for older populations and is an internationally registered and certified Yoga Teacher with AURA Wellness Center, Massachusetts, USA, and the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT).

This is a 1-hour deliciously blissful and rejuvenating afternoon Restorative Yoga session. 

Destress and relax after the week day blues away with this beautiful start to the weekend!

“PM RESTORATIVE HATHA YOGA” - A beautiful calming, energising and rejuvenating morning practice. Everyone can benefit from this rejuvenating Ageless Restorative Yoga practice! Gentle Restorative Yoga and Meditation, including Pranayama (breath control). This is a small group class. Participants are required to bring a yoga mat. This practice uses props: Bolsters, Blocks, Blankets, Towels, Belts and Straps, and Chairs. It is a Yoga Clinic - based in the philosophy of Therapeutic and Vini Yoga practice, it caters to the individual health and wellness needs of each student/client. Actively engage your whole being for healing body, mind and spirit, and deepen your personal practice. 

Restorative Hatha Yoga is about “Transformation” of energy. Rather than just “stretching”, the aim of Restorative Yoga is to transform the nervous system from sympathetic (fight or flight) to parasympathetic (rest and digest) - removing energy blockages in all parts of the body to create an energetic shift. The focus is on bringing healing to the body and mind rather than "obtaining a posture".
